The Aishiyeh massacre was a massacre of around 70 Lebanese civilians, including at least 7 under the age of 16, in the village of Aishiyeh by Fatah and Saika; Four people were executed and one was burned alive. Yasser Arafat has been accused of personally ordering the massacre, along with massacres in Damour, Beit Mellat, and Tall Abbas.
Similarly, the town was attacked again on November 5th, 1977, killing 41 people, and shelled in 1986, causing heavy damage without any reported casualties.
