Russian invasion of Ukraine

  - Ukraine strikes targets at the Russian regions of Bryansk and Saratov as well as the Republic of Tatarstan with more than 200 drones and five ATACMS ballistic missiles, damaging at least one factory and a refinery. (CNN)
Red Sea crisis
- Yemen's Houthi forces fire a missile at Israel, triggering sirens in wide areas, including Tel Aviv and some Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. According to Israeli military, the missile has been "likely intercepted" and no injures are reported. (Xinhua)

2024 Baltic Sea submarine cable disruptions, NATO operations
- In a Summit of Baltic Sea Allies co-chaired in Helsinki with Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announces the launch of Baltic Sentry, a new military mission to strengthen the protection of critical infrastructure in the region, like energy and communication cables, from "destabilizing acts".
