Pr0n or pron is Leet slang for pornography.

This deliberately inaccurate spelling/pronunciation for "porn" is sometimes used in legitimate communications (such as email discussion groups, Usenet, chat rooms, and Internet web pages) to circumvent language and content filters - which might result in messages being rejected as offensive or flagged as spam - and to prevent search engines from associating them with pornography - which might result in unwelcome traffic. It has subsequently become one of the most widely used examples of 1337 speak (leet speak). Pr0n is also sometimes spelled backwards to further obscure the meaning to potential uninformed readers.

It can also refer to ASCII art depicting pornographic images.

PRON, is it a term? PRON, is it slang? Is it the buzz feeding back from an overused amp? Is it more like the broken moan from half scrambled pay per view channel? None, PRON is actually a rock band from Lexington, Kentucky. PRON was created loosely in 2000 when two guitarists decided to form a band. Sean Mondelli and his brother Joseph started playing with lifelong friend and now bassist, Kyle Cleaver. They spent the next four years writing and experimenting. In 2004 they found Chris Childers to play drums and PRON was finally complete. With about 50 originals, PRON began gigging at the beginning of 2005 and during this year they grew a good hometown following and are trying to branch out. PRON packed everything from country bars like Squires Tavern to downtown rock and non rock clubs like High on Rose, Short Street Lounge, Blue Moon Saloon, Avio, Annie's (Cincinnati, OH), etc. PRON has been mentioned or aired on all of the area’s good local radio stations, 103.3 FM WXZZ ZROCK, 100.1 FM WKQQ double Q, 88.1 FM WRFL college radio, Cincinnati's WEBN 102.7 The Frog, and performed during a live remote on 92.9 FM B92. In the beginning of 2006 PRON will be releasing their first full length CD. Mid 2006 all material is downloadable for free www.pronband.com or mail@pronband.com
