Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham is an upcoming 2020 Indian Malayalam-language epic period war film co-written and directed by Priyadarshan. Set in the 16th century Portuguese India, it is based on the battles of Kunjali Marakkar IV, the fourth naval chieftain of the Zamorin of Calicut. The film stars Mohanlal in the title role, it is produced by Antony Perumbavoor, Roy C J and Santhosh T Kuruvilla under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, Confident Group and Moonshot Entertainments.
Principal photography commenced on 1 December at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.

Filming
Principal photography commenced on 1 December at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Mohanlal joined the sets on 16 December, the actor revealed it through his Facebook page.

The film is planned to release in 2020.
