Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Misplaced Pages articles, as you did to Surfside condominium building collapse. Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to Timeline of the 2021 United States Capitol attack. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Misplaced Pages. There was consensus on the sister page (see Talk:2021_United_States_Capitol_attack#Requested_move_2_August_2021) regarding how to refer to the attack. Please respect this consensus. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on 2021 United States Capitol attack. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. Hi! You have readded "Wednesday" to the Capitol attack article several times now, and have been reverted each time. You are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Doing so is not an acceptable way to make your desired change get through because it isn't collaborative. You are adding names of the days of the week to other articles too, but it's something that isn't really wanted; editors generally don't believe that such changes are an improvement because it's hard to tell what usefulness there is in this information. Misplaced Pages is made to be useful to readers, and changes need to have a comprehensible rationale in line with this purpose. Your level of disruptiveness isn't particularly severe, but it's still something that could lead someone to believe that you're not here to build an encyclopedia, which normally leads to a loss of editing privileges. — Alalch Emis (talk) 16:53, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
