Membership Confusion

Hi there. There seems to be multiple different streams of information which each say different things. Two different places on the main page say to add your name to the list of participants, but the list page says to add it to the roll call, which doesn't seem to exist. Could I be pointed in the right direction? PunkAndromeda (talk) 16:50, 10 August 2024 (UTC)

I shoudn't worry. Your name is in Category:WikiProject Middle-earth participants, because of the Userbox {{User WikiProject Middle-earth}}, so your commitment to the project cannot be questioned. -- Verbarson  edits 19:11, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
I've updated the main page to say you can do that and chopped the 'roll call' mentions. Chiswick Chap (talk) 06:42, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
The documentation for {{User WP Middle-earth}} includes a misleading instruction to add one's username to Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Middle-earth#Participants. I cannot find the source for this text. There is no /doc page for the template. Is it automatically generated by {{User WP}}? -- Verbarson  edits 13:47, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
Yes, it was, but not any more ;-} Chiswick Chap (talk) 17:39, 11 August 2024 (UTC)

Elves diagram dispute

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Talk:Elves in Middle-earth regarding which diagram to use (File:Sundering of the Elves diagram.svg or File:The Sundering of the Elves.svg). The thread is Diagram errors. The discussion is about the topic Elves in Middle-earth. Thank you. ...and is about the topic Sundering of the Elves.—Alalch E. 19:47, 25 September 2024 (UTC)

Featured picture candidate The Sundering of the Elves.svg

Please support my candidacy for featured picture. My image is Misplaced Pages's most extensive, comprehensive, readable and source accurate diagram presenting the division of elves in the world created by Tolkien. The svg format provides lossless scaling. This image has also previously been assessed using the Quality image guidelines and is considered a Quality image. Agnaton (talk) 12:14, 27 September 2024 (UTC)

Firstly, you are not the candidate, the image is. Secondly, this image is under discussion per the previous topic. Please be aware of WP:CANVASS. -- Verbarson  edits 12:37, 27 September 2024 (UTC)

Closure of proposed merge required at Tolkien fan fiction

The proposed merge of this article has been open for a month and should now be closed. If any uninvolved editor would care to do the honours, it'd be appreciated. The discussion is over at Talk:Tolkien fandom. Chiswick Chap (talk) 07:59, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
