The roots of Central India Theological Seminary go back to 1962 when Dr. Kurien Thomas founded the Bharosa Bible College at Itarsi, Central India. It was later renamed as Central India Bible College and was raised to a Research Institution in 1999 under the banner of Central India Theological Seminary. It is linked with the International College of Excellence run by Robb Thompson, with the Church for All Nations, and with Christian Life College, Chicago, USA. The Seminary provides theological education at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels in English and Hindi medium.
