Hello, welcome to my talk page!

  • If you want to leave a message, please do it at the bottom as a new section, for better formatting. You can do that by simply pressing the plus sign (+) or "new section" on the top of this page. And don't forget to sign your messages with four tildes, like this: ~~~~.
  • I prefer to keep discussions unfragmented. So if you leave a comment for me here, I will most likely respond to it on this same page–my talk page–as an effort to keep the entire conversation in one place. By the same token, if I leave a comment on your talk page, please respond to it there. Remember, we can use our watchlist to keep track of when responses are made. At the same time, feel free to send an alert to me on this page about a comment you have left elsewhere. (I will break this rule sometime, if I want to get your attention quickly)
  • I am busy in real life and may not respond swiftly to queries.
  • If I have reviewed an FLC for you, I have watchlisted the page, and will return within a reasonable time to Support, Oppose, or otherwise address your nomination. Reminders are unnecessary. Thanks.

NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player Award

Since you are the main contributor for this article, I was wondering when are you going to nominate this article for featured list and also if I can co-nominate with you. –.– K. Annoyomous24 02:51, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes. But please wait as there is still more things to be done. I will let you know before I nominate.—Chris! ct 03:40, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

FLC

Please review Misplaced Pages:Featured list candidates/List of Vancouver Canucks head coaches, as it seems your concerns have been addressed. Thanks.. -- K. Annoyomous24 04:12, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

FLC

I think you should actually tell me what to do in order for Minnesota Timberwolves draft history to be an FL instead of just editing. Thanks! -- K. Annoyomous24 01:12, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

I'm just opinionating, that's all. Can you just Support or Oppose the nomination because I'm finished with all of your concerns? -- K. Annoyomous24 01:37, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

National Basketball Association individual awards

I was wondering if you can help me make this article into a featured list + a main article for the "future" featured topic with the same name. -- K. Annoyomous24 02:04, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Because I'm not a autoconfirmed user because of my name change, can you change the name of this article of National Basketball Association awards? Thanks! -- K. Annoyomous24 02:12, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
I was just wondering if you want to nominate this article for FL status or if you want to make more changes. -- K. Annoyomous24 GO LAKERS! 00:52, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Sources for city nicknames

Nice work in the California list. :-) You asked "Los Angeles is almost always refer to as LA - do we really need a reference for that?" I agree that this is common knowledge, but consistency in enforcing the requirement for a reference for every nickname makes it far easier to enforce the exclusion of nicknames for which no reliable sources exist. (Removing unsourced derogatory nicknames, "Your-city-name-here-Vegas", etc., can get awfully boring...) --Orlady (talk) 23:03, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

List of Olympic Games host cities

Looks like this list isn't currently suitable for FLC given the comments already - would you like me to withdraw the nomination so you can work on it outside the FLC process? The Rambling Man (talk) 10:21, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, sure.—Chris! ct 18:07, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
If you still think it is worth pursuing a featured list on Olympic cities, then I'd be happy to help with that. Per my comments on the FL comments page, it ought to be "city-centric" instead of "Games centric", and it should expand upon the summary table contents in the main article. Maybe this is a good project to work on after the Beijing Games are over. Regards — Andrwsc (talk · contribs) 05:27, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Sound good.—Chris! ct 06:00, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

List of NBA champions

Why do you feel it was inappropriate for the merge? They do belong together. Looking at all the other team awards articles, I don't see them having a separate description page and a separate list of winners. Please reply on my talk page. Thanks, « Milk's Favorite Cøøkie 22:02, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

You may be correct with other sports, but most defintrely not in basketball. Why doesn't J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award have seperate pages? NBA Coach of the Year award? And most every award listed at {{NBA awards}}. « Milk's Favorite Cøøkie 22:25, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Your opinion on a cat.

Hi there Chris, just wondering whether you think it would be a good idea to add every single basketball player competing at the upcoming olympics to this cat? Some have been added and its not as if i cant do it, even though theres a lot but do you think its worth it given the list of players is already shown on seperate pages? Whats your opinion? Let me know and if so, ill work on it bit by bit over the next couple of days. Its hard to know who is exactly on the roster because the official olympics website has no info. at all, even though its only 4 days away! and the FIBA page has a couple of extra players. NBA Awards

Hi Chris. Regarding the NBA awards articles. Kareem Abdul Jabbar was know as Lew Alcindor until 1971, so i think that we must display that name until that date, and Jabbar in the next ones. A similar case to Akeem and Hakeem.

By the way, don't you think that is better to display only one flag in the row of nationality? With a note in the cases that its necessary of course. I think that two flags in the same row break the concordance of the table, and with the note everything would be explained.

Greets. --80.38.79.176 22:31, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

I think it is ok to have two flags. It allows people to see their nationality easily without necessarily reading at the notes.—Chris! ct 22:46, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
At least we can separate them by a backspace. Sorry but the '/' looks horrible :D --80.38.79.176 21:46, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Nationality

Ben Gordon has a dual citizenship so I think you just put back  United States. Luol Deng for example was a naturalized Sudanese until 2006 when he got citizenship naturalized to Great Britain. So if he won an award or honor, then it'll only be  United Kingdom. So I think Ben Gordon should have both on. -- K. Annoyomous24 GO LAKERS! Please reply on my talk page. Thanks. 00:00, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

We can only use one flag. So we need to use the flags of the nations they were born in.—Chris! ct 00:06, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
Where does it say that we need to use the flags of the nations they were born in? couldn't we just use the nationality of what they were when getting the award/honor? I think it'll make more since doing that. -- K. Annoyomous24 GO LAKERS! Please reply on my talk page. Thanks. 00:08, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
WP:FLAG says if a sport person has multiple nationalities, we have to use the flags of the nations they were born in. It is at the bottom.—Chris! ct 00:10, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

Wikiwar

Hi Chris, yes, it does appear that there is a wiki war going on, and I am the one who reported it, I do believe that there are multiple issues at hand here including sockpuppets, POV, disruptive editing and lack of civility on the parts of User:Asdfg1235 and User:LedRush who are attempting to push an agenda with inaccurate sources, veiled wording and corruption of the article to their own purposes. Much appreciation, thanks :) 00:14, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Even so, you are not exempt from the three revert rule.—Chris! ct 00:45, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
I think it should be easy enough to prove that I am not a sock puppet based on my past contributions. Also, I think it is clear that my effort to mediate Laomei's dispute resulted in a NPOV that melded both the conflicting ideas into one good passage. While I believed I was not in violation of the 3RR, upon more careful examination of the rule I may have been and should have reported Laomei's numerous reverts earlier rather than attempt to reason with him and trying to ensure the integrity of the article. For that I am sorry. However, I had never reported anyone before and was certain that dialog and good faith would result in a good outcome. I have been in heated disagreements before (Alex Bell, xbox 360), but reason, patience, and good faith always resulted in a good solution. I am still willing to talk with Laomei and make the article as good as possible if he will desist with his personal attacks on me and my character.LedRush (talk) 03:45, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Since you revert my edit, I just want to discuss with you the best way to group templates. I think we should follow the format I used since most of the NBA team article are like that.—Chris! ct 21:57, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

I think you should put all the current templates (except the NBA one) into this box called "Links to related articles", so that there would only be two templates left. Inside the "Links to related articles" navbox, I would keep the templates as they are right now. I don't think you should extract all the championship boxes. It just looks too messy (well, because there are so many ;) ). ● 8~Hype 08:12, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Block notice

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Misplaced Pages's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule at Yao Ming. Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. Stifle (talk) 08:45, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

I've also withdrawn your rollback flag as you were using it to edit war. Stifle (talk) 08:45, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Chrishmt0423 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Yes, I admit that I briefly engaged in an edit war and that I violated the three revert rule without realizing that. But given the fact I had never violated the three revert rule before, I believe I should be unblock. Also, it seems very harsh that the blocking admin withdrawn my rollback without warning, as I used rollback only once during the edit war.

Decline reason:

The 3RR policy applies to everyone. Actually, you were blocked once before in March 2008 for edit warring.— Ѕandahl 20:19, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Chrishmt0423 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

This will be my last unblock notice. I understand that the 3RR applied to everyone, but I still think I should be unblocked per above reason. The block in March 2008 was reverting a banned user and is an exception to 3rr. An admin has cleared me on that already.

Decline reason:

Repeating the same declined reason won't get you anywhere. You need to address the actual reason for the block, understand why it was imposed and make it clear that the behavior will cease. — Kevin (talk) 22:44, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):
