History
developed in the 1960s by André Julien to boost tourism in Briançon, featured a 1000-meter runway, luxury hotel, and various amenities. It was used by wealthy private plane travelers from across Europe. However, the creation of the Parc des Ecrins in 1973 halted further development, leading to its closure in 1976. The site was later converted into tennis courts and a car ice racing circuit. Only two hangars remain today.
