Lead structure change
Due to this article's visibility I would like consensus for changing the very first sentence,
from:
The English Misplaced Pages is, with the Simple English Misplaced Pages, one of two English-language editions of Misplaced Pages, an online encyclopedia.
to:
The English Misplaced Pages is one of two English-language editions of the online encyclopedia Misplaced Pages, along with the Simple English edition.
Here, at the last word, "edition" prioritizes grammatical flow and "Misplaced Pages" would prioritize clarity and, in my opinion, are interchangeable. Apmh 22:59, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Apmh Alright, Good recommendation. BangladeshiEditorInSylhet (talk) 08:58, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
adding section about the investigation about pro hamas editor
There was an investigation that found influence group of editor that manage to manipulate the English version of Misplaced Pages. I think this should be mention. הויקיפדון (talk) 16:55, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- Could you explain why PirateWires should be considered a reliable source for these claims? I don't see anything resembling an editorial or retraction policy on their website, or any larger media connections. Remsense ‥ 论 17:56, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- from what I see it is a reliable and neutral website.
- What issue do you have about the reliability of it? הויקיפדון (talk) 18:31, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- Other than the potential issues I have already stated above? It's worth mentioning that "neutral" isn't the word I'd use—no sources are neutral. A quick search shows this is a new-ish outlet that has a particular editorial slant and target demographic—Bay Area tech–adjacent, and I hate using terms like this generally, but "antiwoke".
- That was my opinion, but here are basic facts we would have to consider if we're assessing a source's reliability: PirateWires founder Mike Solana is a Peter Thiel protege, and PirateWires is funded by Thiel's Founders Fund. Remsense ‥ 论 18:42, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
