On January 1, 2025, a man killed at least nine people during two separated shootings in Cetinje, Montenegro.

Shootings

On the afternoon, a brawl erupted inside a bar in Cetinje. After the fight, a man identified as the 45-year-old Aco Martinovic, left the scene and returned to his home where he get his gun. Martinovic returned to the restaurant and opened fire, killing at least seven people and wounded others. He then left the pistol at the scene and escaped. He then killed the bar owner's child and another woman at another location, before fleeing again. Martinovic is still on the run. Martinovic had been detained in the past for possession of illegal firearm.
