Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. For one thing, if you edit without a username, your IP address (71.239.133.107) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Misplaced Pages:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome!   — Jeff G. This is my User Talk page

Don't edit it. Or, if you're just so annoying that you absolutely must edit it, know that I will undo your edit without even reading it. You see, not everything you have to say matters to other people. It's just the way of things.

Misplaced Pages's solicitation slogan is, if I may say so, absurdly overblown

"You can help Wikimedia change the world?" Come now, isn't this a bit pretentious, or a least grandiose in the most awkward way? It's a bloody website. Despite its popularity, it's unlikely that any lasting, meaningful change will come from the 💕. If it really is of such magnificent purpose, why does it need to solicit funds from its users?

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, some of your recent edits have been reverted as they could be seen to be defamatory or potentially libellous. Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Misplaced Pages pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 07:28, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Please avoid using abusive edit summaries as per Misplaced Pages:Civility and Misplaced Pages:No personal attacks. Thanks and happy editing.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 08:22, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors.   — Jeff G. User infoThis is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address.
