"Tithes") is the seventh tractate of Seder Zeraim ("Order of Seeds") of the Mishnah and of the Talmud. It disscusses the three different types of Masser and six year cycle of being given as tithes. All six years "Masser Rishon" is given to Leivties as 10% of your crop. Then There is "Masser Sheni" which is given in the first, second, fourth and fifth and that is 10% of your crop bring to Jersulam and eating it there or selling it for money and then buy fruit in Jersulam and eat it there. Then The final category is "Masser Ani" that is given to the poor in the third and sixth years.These last two tithes are discussed more in the next tracate "Ma'aser Sheni". In the seventh year is shemettiah their are no tithes given at all .These tithes were only given to the these groups or eaten in Jersulam during the time of Jewish temple and before that when jews were in deseret 40 years till bulding of solmon's temple according tot he Bible. These ttihees are just set aside to in Isreal and given to no one these laws only apply in Isreal.
