Ryan Martinie is the bass guitarist in the Alternative Metal band Mudvayne. He is within a beholder's eye of one of the elite of bassists in the math-metal genre. Ideally known for his jazz influenced slap bass technique, as well as using a myriad of other bass techniques. He has also pioneered a new technique, using his double-jointed fingers to create a "semi-pop" sound. He also has extended bass solos at some Mudvayne concerts.
