NOTE: Please do not redirect Water lily to Nymphaeaceae. One genus of water lilies, Nelumbo, is not part of the family Nymphaeaceae.
In English, a species of Nelumbo is sometimes called the "sacred water lily," but it is not called water lily. If you disagree, provide a verifiable source for this name, otherwise I will change it back, and edit the pages you've added this to. Thanks, KP Botany 22:10, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
