Intro

I am an Administrator on the English Misplaced Pages. I edit what I can, as I can.

I was a candidate for the Arbitration Committee in December of 2005. Fortunately for all concerned, I was not elected. I served as an election officer during the 2007 Election cycle, including work with Statistics! In January 2008, I successfully requested adminship.

You may have noticed that my Userpage is, for all appearances, a jumbled mess of links, fields, tables, reports, and ZOMG Dhrama. This is only partially true; where one may see a mess, I merely see clutter - and I know where everything is, so I can find what I need quickly. This page also serves to facilitate my incredible laziness by putting most all of the links I routinely use in one place. So, if a table doesn't line up properly, meh - no problem. I'll have it fixed before the deadline.

Here's another little project I enjoyed working on: Slashdotting bandwidth leeches for fun and profit.

I sometimes wonder how many remember that the "db" in our Speedy Deletion templates stands for "Delete Because"...?

RfA Statistics

For successful Requests for Adminship, averaging the most recent 74 candidates, and normalizing the average by removing editors with more than 45000 contributions, we find that:

• The average result is 85 Supports, 7 Opposes, and 3 Neutrals.
• The average rate of Support is 92.93%.
• The average editcount at the start of the RfA is 11514 edits.
• The average age of account (dated from first edit) is 25 Months.

Major Article Contributions

I've participated in Featured Article Review. Though I very specifically had nothing whatsoever to do with writing or nominating these articles to Featured Status, I'm proud of the fact that we were able to take once great articles and polish them enough to pass current FA standards. With substantial help from others (!), I've helped in retaining the following as Featured Articles:

I also created Fusaye Ichikawa, which already existed as Fusae Ichikawa, so I ended up doing a major expansion instead of a page creation - which, you know, is OK.

Tinkering

I've done some other things, as well, that aren't found in articles. These include:

• AFDsort - A script that adds a sorting function to the edit window, used for adding debates on Articles for Deletion to the appropriate category per CAT:AFD. I am thankful for assistance from User:Ais523 on scripting, and from User:Digitalme, whose AIV helper provided a starting point for this script.

• {{ymbb}}, a template that helps standardize user warnings, even when a custom or informal warning is preferred.

• {{Admincheck}}, a version of {{usercheck}} with added links for admin actions, used for RFAs of former admins.

• {{withdrawnafd}}, a template to assist nominators in withdrawing their AfDs - and in getting someone uninvolved to close them.
