Mount Ebal, a mountain peak 940 meters above sea level just north of the West Bank city of Nablus. It is mentioned in the Bible

Deuteronomy 11:29-30; 27:11-26
Joshua 8:30-35.

and in a number of ancient sources, among them the Onomasticon of Eusebius of Caesarea.
