Declined. Other admins may have varying mileage, but pages are experiencing more vandalism as Misplaced Pages grows in stature and popularity, not less. The protection log for this page is miles long. There's really no reason to unprotect this page - if someone wants to edit it, they can make an account, request an edit at WP:PER, or post to the talk page of the article itself. Declined, Use {{Editprotected}}, and make your changes in a sandbox, for example: Template:Chemicals/Sandbox and an admin will sync the sandbox, template is used far too much to be unprotected. The Helpful One 13:04, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, but if you check the time of my request I added it only after the first removal of content, and was actually refering in my statement above to most of the stuff over the last week or so. He is using IPs to avoid warnings and blocks, and has stated his aim is not to improve the page. He also has suggested he is acting as a proxy for a topic banned editor on this page. Semi-Protection. recently high vandalism/adding unsourced statement (which I happen to know that statement is definitely not true). Peoples do revert vandalisms in this article, but still some residual remained, leaving me re-reading the whole article removing them manually. Also, I noted birth year is also modified sometimes to 1996 from 1992. Protection from unregistered users. Most, if not all of the vandals are using IP.
