Ryan Martinie

Ryan Martinie (aka "Ryknow" or "R-ud") is the bass guitarist in the Alternative Metal band Mudvayne. He is within a beholder's eye of one of the elite of bassists in the math metal genre. He is ideally known for his jazz influenced slap bass technique, as well as using a myriad of other bass techniques. He has also pioneered a new technique, using his double-jointed fingers to create a "semi-pop" sound. He also has extended bass solos at some Mudvayne concerts.

Ryan plays on Warwick "Thumb" 5-string basses (strung with DR strings), which he runs through Ampeg amps.

Ryan is one of the greatest bassists of all time, if not the best at what he does. All of his songs are like unbelievable solos, but that make perfect sense with the guitar and drums. Bassists all over the world would be lucky to be able to be half as good as he is. Template:Bassist-stub
