How did you do that? Where can find more options like that for references? IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAND!!!!! (talk) 02:09, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Outstanding job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I appreciate you adding the tournaments that Finsterwald, Nichols and Rosburg won early in their careers. Not being able to complete those PGA win templates was driving me crazy. I was about to do something crazy like go to Barnes & Noble and buy a golf encyclopedia. --Hokeman 02:57, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- Tew, I have a question for you (put answer on my discussion page if you would be so kind): Was the Sam Snead Festival played in the early 60's a regular PGA Tour event or a non-Tour event? Did it evolve into the 500 Festival?--Hokeman 04:25, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

Hey, Thanks for the great championship table you added to the Jug Mcspaden page. J. Van Meter 22:10, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for the help in making the Frank Thomas page much nicer looking ...... I thought those boxes were likely overkill, but your fix was just what it needed.TeganX7 03:26, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for adding Bert Yancey wins
Can you do the same for Larry Mowry and Homero Blancas? You do a great job adding content to golfer articles, but you are shrouded in mystery. I want to talk with you sometime about a big project I'm planning. --Hokeman 23:53, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Seeking your input on a golf-related project I'm about to start
Tewapack, I'm about to start a major golf-related project - a List of Defunct Tournaments. Since you have done extensive work on golf pages, I'd like your thoughts and input. Please see my User page near the bottom for more detail. Thank you for your time and attention. --Hokeman 03:00, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Els
I just posted here Talk:Golfers with most European Tour wins about the WGC discrepancy, but it looks like you've fixed it already. The European Tour website still says he has had 23 wins though. Catchpole 19:07, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
Help
- I just compiled his major championship wins details, but I'm missing the 54-hole lead for the 1910 win, and the nationality for 1908 runner-up Tom Ball. Supertigerman 19:27, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
- I couldn't find two 54-hole leads and two nationalities. Supertigerman 14:53, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry (again) couldn't find two 54-hole leads. Supertigerman 15:27, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Question regarding infoboxes
how do you make a field optional? Specifically for the Template:Infobox Golf Tournament, how do you make the "To-par" section optional (because it is not necessarily applicable to match play tournaments)? Supertigerman 22:10, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
I haven't got a clue :-) Tewapack 05:28, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Ernie Els
you have written that he made 49 consecutive cuts on the PGA Tour, but according to the official website's list, it's 46. Supertigerman 04:16, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
My bad, I've changed it Tewapack 05:29, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Assessment
I've starting assessing some golfer biographies for WikiProject Golf, so I wanted your opinion on the importance scale. Should we establish anything concrete? For example, 30 PGA Tour wins or 5 major championships automatically are of Top importance? Specifically, I wanted you opinion on Vijay Singh. I think he should be top. When I looked at other bios, I felt that they were underrated. I recently changed Ernie Els from Mid to High, though perhaps he should be Top. Phil Mickelson is currently High as well, but should he be Top too? Supertigerman 15:05, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
- Perhaps I do not understand the importance scale. Wikiproject Biography's importance scale has to with how important the people are and how likely those pages are to be visited. Some other scales define the Low to mean that those articles are not in need of improvement, and Top means that they need major revisions. How does WikiProject Golf define them? Personally, I think WP Bio's scale makes more sense because it literally means how important are these golfers in terms of their play and influence. Supertigerman 15:57, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Infobox Golf Tournament
Hey I think the aggregate, to-par score records, and defending champion lines should not have the nationalities of the players (the flags). Flags are simply eye candy and do not add to the infobox. Rather, I think the year in which the record was made should be written. For example, for the Masters, "-18 Tiger Woods (1997)" is what should be written in the to-par line. What do you think? Supertigerman 19:51, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- I agree. Much more useful info - i.e. is it a long-standing record or a new one? Tewapack 05:38, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Help with Tommy Armour III
Thank you so much for all of what you've done on Tommy Armour III. It's been so great! However, I have searched the world wide web for a public domain photo of TAIII, but I couldn't find one. Could you help me? Wharrel 21:01, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

Tew, You've been doing a great job adding content to golfer articles. I just wanted to let you know that I'm getting ready to get back in the game of editing golfer pages after about a 6 month hiatus. Please feel free to share ideas/feedback on my talk page --Hokeman 02:19, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

PGA Tour Seasons
Great job on detailing every season on the Champions Tour. I think it would be great to have the same setup for the PGA Tour seasons, since as of now, there is only one (2006 PGA Tour). Undoubtedly this would be a tougher task given the number of seasons is much greater, but I think if we follow the same format as the Champions/Senior Tour years, it could be simpler. Let me know if you were/are planning to do this, so we can work on it together. Supertigerman 23:03, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
I am planning on similar pages for the PGA Tour, back to 1980 based on info on pgatour.com and back to 1970 based on golfstats.com. Before that it gets sketchy. Tewapack 05:27, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
Golf infobox
Surely if The Open Championship is to be inaccurately referred to as the "British Open", The Masters Tournament should be equally inaccurately referred to as the "US Masters"? LondonStatto 16:25, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
PGA Championship Match Play Era
Dale Arnett and I are thinking of changing the format of all the PGA Championship results in timelines from 1916-1957 in order to better reflect the match play format. Since you in most cases created the timelines, where did you get the information for the match play results? golfstats.com only dates back to 1958, and the official website only lists winners and runners up. Thanks. Supertigerman 20:08, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
http://www.pgamediaguide.com/pgachampionship_yearsearch_action.cfm has a description and bracket for each year although some of them are screwed up and I consulted newspaper accounts. Tewapack 20:56, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Instead of writing "R128", "R64", "R32", and "R16" since those simply inform the reader of how big the bracket was, how about writing the round in which the player lost in context of the tournament? Given that we have the brackets, we know which round the players lost in. I think it would be better to write "1R", "2R", "3R" and so on until QF, SF, and F (similar to the tennis timelines). Supertigerman 19:44, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
The options:
Opt 1 | Opt 2 | Opt 3 |
---|---|---|
1 | 1 | 1 |
2 | F | F |
T3 | SF | SF |
T5 | QF | QF |
T9 | R16 | 2R,3R,4R |
T17 | R32 | 1R,2R,3R |
T33 | R64 | 1R,2R |
T65 | R128 | 1R |
In the context of the majors results tables, I think Option 1 or 2 above are more informative than Option 3. Since these PGA Ch. matchplay results are intermixed with stroke play results, I think Option 1 is best, I can live with Option 2, but I think Option 3 would be confusing because there is no way to distinguish field sizes in the table so no way to determine if "2R", for example, is good or bad finish.
Note that in 1957 they had playoffs of positions 3-8.
detailed wins tables
It doesn't hurt putting them in even for people who have only won a few times, it gives more information also, just leave it there.
Need your help
On the 1934 Masters Tournament page, there is one man, E. French, who I do not know anything about. All I know is that he shot 70-83=153 in the first two rounds and then withdrew. Since you are good at finding things, I just thought I'd ask if you could find out his first name and nationality. Thanks. Supertigerman 03:04, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Greetings Again from Fgf2007
Yo, Tewpack --
Just wanted to compliment you on keeping the wiki golf pages in check. I realize it's a lot of work, especially when we're talking about a site where so many people can come in and make changes ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous.
As for myself, I've decided to leave the task of the major wiki edits to others. Maybe every once in a while I might add or correct some little item as long as it is relevant to the particular wiki page. But that's it.
I have my own web-site, and since I'm the sole web-master, i can do as I wish - so that's fine with me.
Feel free to visit my site (links on my wiki user page) at your leisure.

Viking Classic
I was going to add a tournament infobox to the page but when I was trying to figure out the tournament scoring record I ran into a problem. Before 1986 the tournament was called the Magnolia State Classic. On pgatour.com and golfstats.com, they only document the winners of the Viking Classic back to 1986. Do you know if the Magnolia State Classic is some other tournament and someone got mixed up?

Help needed Don Iverson page
Tew, I need your help. I just did a page for Don Iverson. Two sources said that he had two official PGA Tour wins; however, the B.C. Open official site says that he is one of eight players to earn his first PGA Tour win at the BC Open in 1975. My question is this: Was his other win --at the 1972 Shreveport Open Classic-- an official PGA Tour money win? Thanks--Hokeman 18:02, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for providing me with the answer to this question. And thanks for fixing the Johnny Revolta page - I didn't even notice that the WI Open wins in '34 and '35 were listed as PGA Tour events.--Hokeman 20:10, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
State golf opens
Do you think we should start a category for them? And if so what should it be called? I had no idea about that Washington Open page until just now. There are others I have seen like the Wisconsin Open and the Illinois Open. Would make it easier to track them. michfan2123 21:16, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, I just realized that you just made the Washington Open page, I did not realize that. Anyway, the category would still help out. michfan2123 21:21, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
The old Hoke needs your help again
Tew, I'm currently working on DeWitt Weaver (golfer). Question 1: One of my sources says that his first PGA Tour win was at the U.S. Professional Match Play Championship; the other calls it Liggett and Myers Open Match Play Championship. Which is correct? Question 2: One source says he turned pro in 1963 and the other says 1964. Ditto. As always, a million thanks for your help.--Hokeman 18:28, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for your help. I changed it back (to Liggett and Myers) after I found this --Hokeman 20:08, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
where2golf.com
I see you added more information to the Piccadilly Medal from that site. I did not know about it until now. How reliable is it? There are many red links for old PGA Tour events, maybe that site has them. I see that they have results for the 500 Festival Open, it shows winners in 1962, 64, 66 and 68. I am not sure if that list is complete. If it is a reliable source, I will make a bunch of new tourney pages.michfan2123 20:53, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

- I echo the above question, although I hope to express it in somewhat more dignified fashion. Why did you revert closing up their initials? It is pretty standard practice in English to close up initials like that, and it's how both players' names are expressed at the PGA TOUR's website. J.B. Holmes' website even expresses it in that fashion (Trahan apparently doesn't have one). MrArticleOne (talk) 03:27, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Field Size in Golf Tournament Infobox?
I have a friend who just got reshuffled on the Nationwide Tour/Q-School list where he'll most likely only have a chance to get into 156 player fields. I wanted to see the field sizes for the remaining events this year, but am having a very hard time finding this information. Even the tournament home pages seem to lack this. The only place to date I've found this info is on USA Today's fantasy golf tournament articles they publish for each event, such as this one about the Buick:
http://fantasygolf.usatoday.com/content/column.asp?sport=GOL&column=195&articleid=29858
Can we add this field to the Golf Tournament Infobox? I think their location is nice, below the purse.
P.S. I was referred to you for this question, I assume you have domain over this infobox. I'd be happy to help and populate this field in each tournament page (I believe there are 48 tournaments on the PGA Tour in 2008). Since I'm having a hard time finding this info, I may just do this one tournament at a time when the fantasy golf article is published for each event. Then, by the end of 2008 all tournaments will have this information.

T for ties in majors for golf
I was thinking it looked better not to put the T's in the round updates for the 2004 PGA Championship because all the other majors on Misplaced Pages don't have them. Also when you look at most leaderboards in golf it doesn't put the T's on them. I wanted to ask you before changing it back. Thanks
Frank Thomas
First, I don't think there is a need for all-time rosters. The categories have all the players in them. If the only difference is that the all-time rosters have managers in them, then I think that the all-time rosters should be deleted and managers added to the team categories.
Second, I think all living people not just baseball players should have the place of birth in the parenthesis. Once a person dies then I can understand incorporating the place of birth and place of death into the article and the deletion of them in the parenthesis. Also, I would rather the baseball player articles be consistent over adhering to some stupid wikipedia policy. There is no way that the thousands and thousands of baseball player articles will all be changed removing the place of birth and adding it into the article; that will take more time than any person or group is willing to commit to it. Jackal4 (talk) 22:41, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Capitalization et al.
The Manual of Style is about Misplaced Pages style, and I do not dispute that in the article's textual discussion of something (e.g., The Tour Championship), it ought to be rendered in normal capitalization. It is very ambiguous whether the Manual of Style entry you mention applies to our table here per se. Even a casual inspection of the Manual of Style entry makes it plain that it was written with the textual discussions of topics in the encyclopedia in mind; its emphasis is on not unduly calling attention to any one thing (but in the context of a table that's a list of tournament names, some of which are even bolded to emphasize their particular importance, this is not an issue) and avoiding ambiguity in sentence design/construction (which, again, isn't the issue here because of the presentation of the information). I am not content to accept a reference to the MOS in this context as such; it ought to be specifically discussed and addressed in this particular context. MrArticleOne (talk) 05:03, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Flags
Doesn't make sense to have golfers play under flags that were not in existence during their playing days. Why would you have golfers who solely played under the Union of South Africa Flags playing under the new south african flag? Makes no sense to me. The question has obviously come up before, so perhaps you can refer me to the consensus ruling. Benkenobi18 (talk) 23:40, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Golfer Infobox
Hey Tewapack, using Tiger Woods's as an example here, i'm thinking of changing the professional wins section (and the gridlines had been removed by another editor, which i like).
Here are a couple thoughts I have:
Infobox 1
Tiger Woods | |
---|---|
| |
Personal Information | |
Birth | (1975-12-30) December 30, 1975 (age 49) Cypress, California |
Height | 6 ft 1 in (1.85 m) |
Weight | 185 pounds (84 kg; 13.2 st) |
Nationality | United States |
Wife | Elin Nordegren (2004-Present) |
Children | Sam Alexis (age - 17 years) |
Residence | Windermere, Florida |
College | Stanford University (two years) |
Career | |
Turned Pro | 1996 |
Current tour | PGA Tour (joined 1996) |
Professional wins (89) | |
PGA Tour | 65 |
Other individual | 22 |
2-man team | 2 |
Major Championship Wins (14) | |
Masters | (4) 1997, 2001, 2002, 2005 |
U.S. Open | (3) 2000, 2002, 2008 |
The Open | (3) 2000, 2005, 2006 |
PGA | (4) 1999, 2000, 2006, 2007 |
Awards listed here |
Pros: For the sake of uniformity, it has 2 columns in the pro wins section.
Cons: The right side looks too plain.
Infobox 2
I like this one better:
Tiger Woods | |
---|---|
| |
Personal Information | |
Birth | (1975-12-30) December 30, 1975 (age 49) Cypress, California |
Height | 6 ft 1 in (1.85 m) |

Wife | Elin Nordegren (2004-Present) |
Children | Sam Alexis (age - 17 years) |
Residence | Windermere, Florida |
College | Stanford University (two years) |
Career | |
Turned Pro | 1996 |
Current tour | PGA Tour (joined 1996) |
Professional wins (89) | |
PGA Tour: 65 Other individual: 22 2-man team: 2 | |
Major Championship Wins (14) | |
Masters | (4) 1997, 2001, 2002, 2005 |
U.S. Open | (3) 2000, 2002, 2008 |
The Open | (3) 2000, 2005, 2006 |
PGA | (4) 1999, 2000, 2006, 2007 |
Awards listed here |
Pros: The wins are centered in their layout.
Cons: The lack of uniformity.
Overall:
Pros: Professional wins deserves larger recognition, and wins should not be in parentheses as they are now.
Cons: The career section is short, and perhaps the majors on the left column below should be in bold in order to synchronize the look.
When we implement a new infobox, I would wikilink the number of wins to the wins section of the page. For example, Tiger's 65 would link directly to List of career achievements by Tiger Woods#PGA Tour wins (65).
I will also post this on Michfan2123's page, so we can get his input too.
Thanks. Supertigerman (talk) 21:43, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Need your help
I uploaded several US Open and PGA Championship logos for pages that User:FourteenClowns created. I noticed the newest pages like the 2008 US Open for example have logos and those aren't being challenged. User:Stepshep is going to recommend these for deletion if I don't construct fair rationale charts or whatever they are. They obviously should exist as others do. If you can help me out with a few, I'll be able to go from there. Thanks! --BurpTheBaby (Talk) 05:37, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Lake Macquarie Amateur
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Lake Macquarie Amateur, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Misplaced Pages is not" and Misplaced Pages's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Just to explain why I changed the table in this article; contrary to your edit comment, there was a reason. The tables are nicely organized so that each year in the decade is immediately above/below each other, except for the first decade. Changing the first decade to show the same alignment improves the readability of the data and makes it easier for readers to understand it. If I could have found a way to put blanks in the first decade for years 1920-1924, I would have done that. That is the way it would most likely appear in a print-only encyclopedia. It appears that wikitable doesn't allow for that, at least not easily. Cheers. Truthanado (talk) 22:53, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Please see WP:CONTEXT#What generally should not be linked and WP:CONTEXT#Dates.
“ | The names of geographical locations that are likely to be well-known to English-speakers should generally not be linked where, in the context, they are unlikely to be confused with other locations of the same name, and the linked article would not specifically add to readers' understanding of the topic at hand. | ” |
I'd say this would include England.
“ | Dates that contain day, month and year or day and month may be linked using MediaWiki's date autoformatting mechanism. Careful consideration of the disadvantages and advantages of the autoformatting mechanism should be made before applying it: the mechanism does not work for the vast majority of readers, such as unregistered users and registered users who have not made a setting, and can affect readability and appearance if there are already numerous high-value links in the text. | ” |
Wikilinking dates provides a small benefit to a small proportion of readers but is at best useless and at worst a distraction for the vast majority. Colonies Chris (talk) 23:59, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Fed Ex Cup Points
Greetings Tewapack ....
We are both frustrated, as are many others - we all want to know the points for all 30 places at the Tour Championship, but the folks running PGATOUR.com are going to keep us guessing right up to tournament week.
BTW - If I may ask, what was your source for the complete points breakdown used in the first three playoff events?

Template:Years in golf
Hi Tewapack, I noticed you added 2009 to Template:Years in golf. Thanks for doing this. Question: it's showing up on 2009 in golf but it's not showing up on any of the previous year pages (2008 in golf, 2007 in golf, etc.) even though it's in the template. I'm guessing it has something to do with the coding of the template that I don't understand. Can you explain this to me? thanks again. --Crunch (talk) 23:44, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

UPDATE
Greetings Once More, Tewapack
The PGA Tour is likely to round-up or round-down the Fed Ex Cup points to whole numbers for the 2009 Accenture Match Play. That is why I had the total at 3,641 - not 3,620. Even the current PGA Tour Schedule is using the figure of 3,641.
ALSO, just a suggestion - You might wish to archive a lot of the pre-2009 messages on your talk page.

PGA
I am confused. You reverted what I changed. You link to the style guide, but the presentation of the names in the table has nothing to do with the style guide, which is obviously about how things are written in text. I totally agree that it would be weird to read a sentence like "This week at THE TOUR Championship, someone is going to win the FedEx Cup" or something. But the table of event names has nothing to do with that, and is much closer to being like the example that said on the first reference in an article about a particular non-standard thing, the article could properly use the unusual formatting. That's basically what we are dealing with here. 74.85.192.226 (talk) 02:23, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

Another format more explanatory
I didn't understand your pov on the revert of infobox golfer doc.
For instance, how is "{{Death date and age|YYYY|MM|DD|YYYY|MM|DD}}" more explanatory? What is the second yyyy?
Why shouldn't users just be able to put in the date as they want it without all the mumbly numbers?
How about the following explanation for the parameter:
deathdate | Insert date of death: month, day, year. | If date of birth is known, use the {{Death-date and age}} Example: |

Grier Jones
Two things about him.
The best thing I remember about his playing days, was his falling victim to a closing five hole birdie barrage by Jack Nicklaus at the 1978 Inverrary. Maybe we can make note of that in his entry.
Also I seem to rule about putts hanging on the lip of the hole, was due to a Grier Jones waiting an inordinate amount of time at some tournament in the 70's when he had such a situation arise. Do you know any particulars about this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by WilliamJE (talk • contribs) 19:21, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi Tewapack - we were hoping you could help us out with the Wichita Open page due to your experience on this site and with golf in general. Accents in Spanish
Hi Tewapack. I've been going back and forth with you in edits on Cabrera's entry. I'm a native Spanish speaker and have a degree in Spanish lit. The formal convention in Spanish is that no written accent is placed on capital letters in Spanish. So "Eres un ngel" (you are an angel) WOULD have a written accent. "Angel" Cabrera, does not (because of its capitalization). Hope this clarifies my edits to the page and convinces you that they should stay that way. Message from Hokeman: 3 topics
- Tew, I'm getting ready to start an ambitious article that is currently under construction as User:Hokeman/Sandbox 4. It is a clearinghouse of sorts for notable golfers who have many top-10 finishes but no wins on the PGA Tour. Take a look and tell me what you think. Also look at the proposed parameters on the discussion page. Please feel free to add material. When it reaches a certain critical mass, I'll add it to mainspace.
- We have had pretty good success winnowing down the redlinks on Template:Former PGA Tour Events. I think it is down to about 11 now (albeit, it is not "done"). I'll continue adding these in the coming days and weeks. There are 3 redlinks that I have had absolutely no luck finding material: Virginia Beach Open (PGA Tour event), Rio Grande Valley Open and Golden Gate Championship. If you can find material or resources for these tournaments, please put it on User:Hokeman/Sandbox 1. That resource you gave me for Seattle Open Invitational was terrific; so was the PGA Tour's 1960-69 tournament by age resource.
- Lastly, I wanted to let you know that I have been occasionally adding internal links into Template:Former PGA Tour Events, which are redirects into consolidated former PGA Tour event pages. This will allow Misplaced Pages users to navigate into that page from the template (otherwise they might only be able to find it from some obscure golfers page). For example, I put Hot Springs Open Invitational as a redirect into the Arlington Hotel Open page and then added it to the template. I want you to know that I had no intention of separating these - I think the way it's done now is the best way.
Keep up the good work!--Hokeman (talk) 18:58, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
SPI on possible attack account
I just want to give you a (rather belated) notice about an attack account that someone created a month ago with your name in it. See ], there was a person named user:Ftuecwkasphaictk which is your name interlaced with "fuck" and "shit". I dont know if you ever even saw this person, so I wanted to post here to make sure you'd seen it and know that they may still be active under other names. If my suspicions are correct, they are indeed still active and only just blocked yesterday, and will likely try to come back again. Soap /Contributions 16:47, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

- If I may. The guideline you are looking for is Misplaced Pages:External links. In addition, Misplaced Pages is not an indiscriminate collection of random links. If you want to add content referenced from that article, then if it is a reliable source, by all means go ahead if it adds value. It makes no sense to add every single news article on a given subject to the external links section. Regards. wjemather 22:38, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Buddy Alexander article
Hi, Tewapack. I'm one of the folks working on the University of Florida Misplaced Pages Project. We are in the process of writing and re-writing all of the wiki articles about the Florida Gators coaches, including Buddy Alexander. I just started chewing ob Buddy's article today. Part of our formatting is to include a standard set of external links, Wiki cross-references, and Wiki categories for all University of Florida coaches and sports programs, with additional links, etc., appropriate to the particular coach or program. Good examples of recent re-writes are Becky Burleigh and Amanda O'Leary. More are in the works.
You just deleted what you deemed to be extraneous links, added only this morning. I have restored them. While we welcome your golf-related contributions to the Buddy Alexander and Florida Gators golf articles, please allow the UF editors to play lead on formatting, etc.
Thanks.

Disambiguation
When you move pages like you did with John Schroeder (golfer) for disambiguation purposes, please clean up after yourself. I cleaned up the golfer pages so that they point directly to the correct place. I'll let the musician pages for you. Tewapack (talk) 03:49, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- I really got into something when I started that didn't I? Shortly after I started it I wished I hadn't got involved. Thanks for cleaning up after me. There's no problem, you can do the musician as well, I don't mind - I have no particular interest in the case, I was just dealing with Category:Proposed deletion as of 5 August 2009, and the Schroeder disambiguation page was one of those I dealt with. Regards. SilkTork * 07:44, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- I just looked, and there's nothing to deal with because John Schroeder (musician) already existed. There was a request to delete John Schroeder (disambiguation) which I declined because neither of the John Schroeder articles were a primary topic, so a disamb page is appropriate, as per Misplaced Pages:Disambiguation#Disambiguation_page_or_disambiguation_links.3F. I then made both Schroeder articles equal and made John Schroeder the primary search and also the disambiguation page. I'm sorry if this meant that you also felt you had to do some work, but that, after all, is the nature of Misplaced Pages, it is a collaborative community of volunteers. We try to do our best, though we sometimes make mistakes, or forget to do something that somebody else will then complete. There are plenty of unfinished tasks on the project. Nobody is impelled to do anything, and nobody should feel impelled to do anything by another volunteer. Regards again. SilkTork * 08:01, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
