add at top of yucca flats article as link ? to this paragraph /
famous drink "yucca flats" was created by me 1968 in Rome, NY using vodka (100 proof) with little water and lemon juice and cherries and cherry juice, mixed to be ice cold by mixing in jug of ice and then drunk by most thinking they are drinking only "lemonade" as the vodka taste is masked...this results in many over drinking, thinking there is no alcohol...also, at a yucca party, with usually a huge container (5-10 gallons) mixed as by me the yucca meister, the normal party chattering rises in volume to be persons almost shouting in each others faces in only about 20-30 minutes, as the punch / drink / yucca flats numbs their hearing so they begin to shout ; name came from the after effects next day when mouth is as dry as yucca flats ; the drink began 1968 and rapidly spread out to go national across the usa via chatter by imbibers esp stewardesses, etc ; a few have called this drink a "pink GD/it" -/s/ yucca meister sr 69.121.221.97 (talk) 18:12, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
