You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for Block evasion: continuing to edit war using a sock (User:WLPERD) while blocked. Please stop. You are welcome to make useful contributions after the block expires. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below.

Request reason:

If you remove the block immediately tomorrow and after I remove my personal info from the Road to Multiverse discussion area I will request total deletion of this account. You have intentionally harassed me to the point where I no longer wish to be associated with wiki.

Decline reason:

I am declining your request for unblock because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Misplaced Pages, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    • understand what you have been blocked for,
    • will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    • will make useful contributions instead.

Please read our guide to appealing blocks for more information.  Sandstein  08:57, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I think I can address your concerns:

A)I will make no edits other than to remove from the discussion area links to my personal site used for verification. I actually believed, being the animator that animated the FG Disney Parody would verify the fact that Greg Colton was actually speaking on CartoonBrew . He's my director and we emailed back and forth while the discussion was going on , discussing the comments. It was a silly assumption as the actual people who do this work are totally useless on wiki. You need it in some article , misinterpreted and misquoted (I've been misquoted so many times I can't count ). Really, it was my mistaken assumption that it mattered . I stand totally corrected .

B)The original block was for edit warring, that I agree I did , a fourth reversion and got blocked. The appeal was never a denial.

C) The fact I'm willing to close my account permanently addresses both why it would no longer be necessary and my willingness to avoid more disruption. Self sacrificing don't you think ? The puppet thing is all yours, does it matter ? I'll be gone and you can block as many people you think are me as you want but they wont be me . I have no interest in this site, the article or anything here.

D) Honestly, I have nothing more to contribute here at all so you would be doing both wiki and I a huge favor. I don't believe in wiki anymore ,I think that is both our problem and this is the best resolution . Nothing here strikes me as worth contributing to nor have I the energy to argue with people who don't know what they are talking about. By the way, you must see the humor in arguing with fanboys about something you actually animated .

I think the fact I would be permanently leaving solves everyone's problems don't you ? Why would you think forcing me to wait a week would make anything better ? Is there some reason you can think of that shows it has a benefit ? I mean , I'm having the account deleted so exactly what more do you want ?

Decline reason:

As you have said you intend to leave, an unblock is clearly not necessary. It is not technically possible for an account to be deleted. --Anthony.bradbury 14:45, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Request reason:

Huh ? Permanently disabling is deleting , I wont be able to access it ever again and you know it. Once more ,what benefit is there to anyone making everyone wait a week ? Let me get my personal info off and close this account. My crime is reverting an edit one time too many times , not murder . I've already admitted that. http://answers.wikia.com/How_can_i_delete_my_wiki_account "Due to the way the software is designed and how contributions are tracked and recorded, deleting an account isn't possible, but staff can disable it if you ask them using special:contact. Disabling an account permanently locks you out of the account and scrambles your password. This is irreversible and does not remove any edits you have made."

Decline reason:

This isn't Wikia, chummer, sorry. Whatever applies to Wikia wikis doesn't necessarily apply to Wikimedia Foundation wikis. The analogous page here is Right-to-vanish, but that is only done by the user wanting to vanish (no administrator interference is necessary) and only if he's in good standing with the community. -Jeremy 20:28, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Vanisheduser5965 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

GAAAHHH ! Ok, whatever, I'm willing to scramble or give an administrator my open password , after I get my personal info off , to scramble to permanently disable the account. This feels like that AOL call where the person is trying to close their AOL account but AOL rep wont let them . The page you referred to has absolutely nothing about the process, which I would love to know. All I want to do delete my personal info and then my user account . Could you give me the process for that or send me someone who knows how ? ? I mean , how hard should it be ????? Sheesh !

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2= GAAAHHH ! Ok, whatever, I'm willing to scramble or give an administrator my open password , after I get my personal info off , to scramble to permanently disable the account. This feels like that AOL call where the person is trying to close their AOL account but AOL rep wont let them . The page you referred to has absolutely nothing about the process, which I would love to know. All I want to do delete my personal info and then my user account . Could you give me the process for that or send me someone who knows how ? ? I mean , how hard should it be ????? Sheesh !  |3 = ~~~~}}

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

{{unblock reviewed |1= GAAAHHH ! Ok, whatever, I'm willing to scramble or give an administrator my open password , after I get my personal info off , to scramble to permanently disable the account. This feels like that AOL call where the person is trying to close their AOL account but AOL rep wont let them . The page you referred to has absolutely nothing about the process, which I would love to know. All I want to do delete my personal info and then my user account . Could you give me the process for that or send me someone who knows how ? ? I mean , how hard should it be ????? Sheesh !  |decline = {{subst:Decline reason here}} ~~~~}}

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:

{{unblock reviewed |1= GAAAHHH ! Ok, whatever, I'm willing to scramble or give an administrator my open password , after I get my personal info off , to scramble to permanently disable the account. This feels like that AOL call where the person is trying to close their AOL account but AOL rep wont let them . To clarify: We cannot delete your account, nor are we permitted to disable it for you here. The onus would be on you to scramble your password and walk away. -Jeremy 20:32, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
There should be a warning saying "If you join you can never leave !" DarlieB (talk) 20:52, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
Ok I found it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:Right_to_vanish All I want to do is get off the site permanently. I don't want another account or to have anything to do with wiki.DarlieB (talk) 21:15, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

So basically I leave this template, make a request to the "bureaucrats" asking for a name change .

This editor has decided to leave Misplaced Pages.
So someone explain why we have to wait a week ? I'm sorry, I just don't get it . DarlieB (talk) 21:27, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

I can file a namechange request on your behalf (Only if the name has already been taken will it take a week for a name change). As for the personal information, send an email to our oversight team or our OTRS team with permalinks to every instance where you revealed your personal information, making sure to explain the situation to them clearly and calmly. As I stated above, the only person who can scramble your password is yourself; admins will not do it for you (again, Wikia is a separate entity from the Wikimedia Foundation, which runs Misplaced Pages). -Jeremy 22:07, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
Well that is fine Jeremy . In the end it works out as the block lasts a week and the name is changed by the block end. I will delete my references , add the user has left sign and then scramble the password. Could you request the change to USER111111 or whatever you think is as generic  ? Once I'm back on I can do the minor deletes myself then send the email to ovesights . I don't need to be on to do that. Cool, thanks for the help. DarlieB (talk) 22:35, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Disabling Request Sent

This has been submitted by email. community@wikia.com

Hi, I'm the evil criminal DarlieB, I reverted a section on the Family Guy "Road to the Multiverse " episode , that I worked on , one too many times and was blocked. I'm really tired of wiki and want to just get my personal info off and then have the entire account permanently disabled . I think this is a reasonable request but I can't get the editors to just close the issue. Help to get them to see that it's best for everyone and not waste any more time. Thanks

DarlieB

P.S. Also at this point they have permanently disabled someone else's account , who is not me, because I asked them to look over that same article and they were accused of being a "sock". Something the other editors in this edit warr were doing. You merely have to look at the three talk sections. They are all friends. I suppose because I was blocked they assumed it was me but whatever.

FisherQueen

Remember that Misplaced Pages is anonymous, so we don't really know for sure whether you are that animator, or some rival of the animator's, or a mentally ill fan who believes himself to be the animator. That's why we rely on published sources rather than individual knowledge- because we know how unhappy you would be if someone pretending to be you added incorrect information about your field to Misplaced Pages. I'm sorry that you've had a negative experience at Misplaced Pages, but that rule is so fundamental a part of how we do things that we aren't able to change it, even if we really do believe (and I do) that you are who you say that you are. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 10:33, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

I found this in the history and thought it was worth the reply ( though I'll probably get blocked ten more weeks for reposting it back to my talk ) . Thank you FisherQueen , that's one who believes =) Simply replying to the email at my posted website would have confirmed it as I doubt anyone would spend time loading the hundreds of drawings and assembling the ten minutes of my 177 mgb reel . The email is trackable as well though it's not the one I use for this account. My regular is already a spam magnet. ( I also uploaded a pencil test that no one but the animator could have, even named it after the person doubting ). To be honest what I found was not so much negative as disappointing . None of what is in that Family Guy "Road to the Multiverse " wiki is sourced. Not one single thing yet it's there and someone just put a tag saying "Help us source it ". Do you delete everything ? I mean rules say that any unsourced material should immediately be removed don't they ? Apparently not if you are pals. Wiki is just a source of opinion based around some loose rules. Truth belongs to "whoever is the winner". I'm looking back on the years I spent here now as a total waste and I have much , much better things to do with my time. Anyway, it as more enlightening that negative so don't feel bad. Was nice of you to write. Thank you. DarlieB (talk) 18:26, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
