Finasteride

As I wrote on my talkpage, doi:10.1111/j.1743-6109.2010.02157.x is a reasonable source to support any claims of persistent sexual dysfunction after finasteride use. I suggested, however, that you wait until it has appeared in print so any reactions in the medical literature can be noted. I would also strongly suggest that you tone down the language of your addition; I can't see any evidence that there is a "controversy" here, for instance. Instead, I would integrate this information into the current "side-effects" section.

Misplaced Pages has a guideline for additions to medical articles, WP:MEDRS. Could I urge you to read through this document, because if you follow its advice your edits are more likely not to be reverted. JFW | T@lk 19:54, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Personal attacks

At no point during our disagreement have I resorted to name-calling. I have a problem with you referring to me as a "dictator". Please be aware of Misplaced Pages's policy about personal attacks. JFW | T@lk 23:11, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

OK, but when you threaten to lock a page because I don't agree with your recommendations, I think calling you a dictator is more of an observation rather than a personal attack.Doors22 (talk) 01:47, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

I would not lock a page myself when engaged in a content dispute. This would go through WP:RFPP. Whether an observation or attack, it is not nice calling anyone a dictator. JFW | T@lk 20:54, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

In that case, I apologize for calling you a dictator. I am really just desperate to increase awareness of this specific issue and need some assistance in figuring out how to do it within a Misplaced Pages appropriate standard. I made a terrible choice that was guided in part by a misinformed medical community and incomplete information on Misplaced Pages and want to prevent others from doing the same.Doors22 (talk) 21:08, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
