Howard Fredrics (b. New York City, 1962) is a composer, sound designer and audio engineer most well known for his electroacoustic and vocal works, as well as music and sound design for TV, computer games and theatre. After studying Composition and TIMARA (Technology in Music and the Related Arts) at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music with Arnold Schoenberg's pupil, Richard Hoffmann and with Gary Nelson, he went on to earn his Masters and Doctoral degrees at the University of Texas at Austin, studying with Russell Pinkston and Karl Korte.
