Image tagging

Please mark images you upload as fair use, public domain, etc. If you got it from the web, it's probably fair use. See Image copyright tags for more information. Andre (talk) 17:15, Dec 5, 2004 (UTC)

Pleeeease use image tags. Andre (talk) 01:03, Dec 14, 2004 (UTC)

Fairly OddParents theme song lyrics

Good song, isn't it? However, it's copyrighted by whoever does the FOP. Please stop adding the lyrics, okay? We don't want to get sued or anything. ^_^

And welcome to the Misplaced Pages. We can always use more contibutors. : ) --Sparky the Seventh Chaos 01:38, Dec 6, 2004 (UTC))

I'm getting fed up here

You absolutely must tag your images. If you don't understand what I mean, ask, don't just silently upload more untagged images. If Image:CuteGroom.jpg and Image:CuteBride.jpg are your images, do you release them under the GFDL, or public domain, or what? Andre (talk) 20:37, Dec 14, 2004 (UTC)

Bride and Groom

Yes, they do indeed look cute. And it's great you're using image copyright tags now. One observation... uh, to me the groom looks so child-like as to be too young to be legally married in most places. Hm. -- Infrogmation 22:13, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)

HooZoo profile?

You may know the answer to this: What the heck's a "HooZoo profile"? I've seen them on several articles about Nickelodeon show characters, and haven't been able to figure out their source (or what "HooZoo" means). —tregoweth 18:50, Dec 24, 2004 (UTC)

It means "Who's who". I got the idea from a HooZoo of Disney characters. You can find it at this link: http://users.cwnet.com/xephyr/rich/dzone/hoozoo/hoozoo.html - Nintendo Maximus
Ah, now it makes sense. Do you know if the HooZoos posted here are copied from somewhere else? Because that would be a copyright violation and all... —tregoweth 20:23, Dec 24, 2004 (UTC)
No, I wrote those profiles myself.

Creating redirects

Please stop creating redirects to non-existent pages. Deleting them is getting to be a pain. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 21:38, 15 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Don't worry, I'm going to write those so-called non-existent pages soon.

Duck Tales episodes

Wow, thanks for the huge list of synopsis you provided. I was afraid it would never get populated, as I only had the one title to go from originally. Great work, thanks again. <>Who?¿? 19:02, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

List of DuckTales episodes Hi again, just wanted to let you know, rather than making a redirect to a "new" page of an existing article, use the Move tab, at the top of the page. This way the articles history and talk pages accompany the article, and it automatically creates a redirect to the new page from the old article. As it is now, we have two pages, the old one with history, and your new one. I see no problem with the "move" other than that. I'm going to tag the new page for speedy deletion, so that the old page can be properly moved to its location. Thanks for all the other work you have done so far. <>Who?¿? 29 June 2005 09:54 (UTC)

Actually I just posted it for moving, so it will be taken care of shortly. You can do this here Misplaced Pages:Requested moves, if you ever need to. <>Who?¿? 29 June 2005 10:10 (UTC)

Powerpuff Girl villains

I've been continually placing Mojo Jojo, The Rowdyruff Boys, and Princess Morbucks into the Villains category, since that's what they are. But they keep getting removed. Will whoever's doing that please cut it out?! - Nintendo Maximus

Image:Abracatastrophe.jpg

There's no source listed for the above image. Could you possibly fix that? Steve block talk 19:19, 26 August 2005 (UTC)

I think it came from an interview on a website somewhere. I'm not sure where, though, and that page is probably gone by now. - User:Nintendo Maximus

Toon Disney: The Eternal Struggle

A couple of things:

In my last rewrite of the Toon Disney article, this is the only time Jetix is mentioned:

"Jetix" (2004–present), airing at nights. Shows include Gargoyles, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!, W.I.T.C.H., Dragon Booster and Get Ed."

I honestly don't see how this "make it look like all of Toon Disney's fans like Jetix." Also, on the Toon Disney talk page, you said]:

What, like the petition isn't substantial enough?!

No, 400 people signing a petition about a national U.S. cable network isn't substantial enough.

I'll have you know that Walt Disney created his characters for entertainment, not profit. Profit is the only reason Jetix is on Toon Disney in the first place - they just want . Entertainment was the primary reason Toon Disney was made. By putting Jetix on Toon Disney, viewers have a good enough reason to hate it and demand that it be removed.

The major reason Walt Disney, the Disney company, or any business have done anything is to make money. Disney doesn't give away Toon Disney; they charge cable and satellite companies to carry it, and their other channels (the ESPN channels, ABC Family, etc.). They show Jetix on Toon Disney because they believe it will make them more money. If for some reason showing a test pattern would make them more money than showing Jetix, you would see all test patterns, all the time. And if Jetix suddenly tanked, they would switch back to what worked before, or look for something new. It's not about entertainment; it's about money.

I'm very familiar with the history of Disney. I was a major Disney fan when I was younger; I watched DuckTales and Chip 'n' Dale, and was obsessed with the theme parks. And I used to think that Disney was just about magic and entertainment and things like that. But that's not the truth; it's about making money for stockholders.

I totally understand how you feel; I'm still annoyed that Disney Channel changed into all-tween stuff and shows almost no old Disney stuff. There are probably many other people who feel that way. Do I wish I could say "Disney Channel used to be okay, but it sucks now" in the Disney Channel article? Sure. But it's not appropriate for the article, because it's not NPOV.

Therefore, it's the freakin' truth. Just accept it, you moron. - Nintendo Maximus

Image Tagging Image:CANDY02.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:CANDY02.JPG. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Misplaced Pages (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairusein|article name}} or {{fairuse}}. See Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much.

The main problem with this image is that even though it describes the image as official artwork, it doesn't state where you got the artwork from. Did you scan it, or download it from a website (if so, please specify the website). Ingoolemo  17:42, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

Civility

Hi. Edit summaries like this are unacceptable. Please remain civil in your interactions with other users. Writing in all caps with two exclamtion points does not help you or your fellow editors in any way. Thanks.--Sean Black 01:41, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

I'm sorry, it's just that the article was placed in the wrong category.
Yes, but that doesn't excuse it. Please be more calm in the future- a correction is just a correction.--Sean Black 20:42, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
