Please take more care

Please could you take more care with your edits, particularly to templates. For example at Bristol Temple Meads railway station, "(Major Station GWML)" is not part of the station name and your subsequent edit broke the display of the rail symbol.

If you think there are improvements that can be made to the information shown in the template, please discuss it at Template talk:UK stations. Thryduulf (talk) 13:00, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

Looking through more of your contributions, at pages such as Chippenham railway station and Reading railway station you have removed references, broken templates and made formatting inconsistent. I've reverted all your edits like this, even though some small changes might have been good, it was not worth the effort to unpick them separately from the rest. Thryduulf (talk) 13:05, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
Please do not add minor services and detailed calling patterns to articles. Misplaced Pages is not a travel guide or journey planner. Thryduulf (talk) 13:13, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Misplaced Pages pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 14:59, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

Future events

Hi, welcome to the wonderful world of Misplaced Pages!

I hope that this barrage of messages doesn't get you down. We like to see enthusiastic new editors, so people will pop up here and give you some pointers about how to edit Wiki so that you fit in with the crowd (and our rules and guidelines).

My message is about speculative rail services. You can find out more at WP:CRYSTAL, but in a nutshell, scheduled or expected future events should only be included if the event is notable and almost certain to take place.

I think it's right that we have an article on the Go! Cooperative, but the service boxes on the individual railway station pages are not really needed. Perhaps a good use of your editing would be to put a short discssion about the proposed service at places where it will be 'notable', say the start and end points. Chippenham

Hi, regarding Chippenham railway station, please don't set |platforms=3 (one disused) in the infobox. Our policy is to show only the number of platforms actually in regular use. Previous layouts may be described in the main text: but only if sourced, see WP:Referencing for beginners and WP:Citing sources. --Redrose64 (talk) 18:03, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

I assumed you could as this is the same with Portsmouth Harbour??????? Chip123456
Hi you left me a message regarding Chippenham Station. I assumed you could write all platforms as it is the same with Portsmouth Harbour? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chip123456 (talkcontribs) 18:30, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
Portsmouth Harbour is also in error: back in September 2009 a series of anonymous edits flipped it back and forth between 4, 5 and "4 (was 5)". It should read 4. Thanks for notifying me.
BTW: have a look at WP:Talk page guidelines and WP:Signatures. --Redrose64 (talk) 18:47, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

Thank you! Chip123456

Chippenham, Melksham etc.

Thank you for your contributions. Some of your recent contributions have been reverted or removed, because they contain speculative or unconfirmed information about a future event. Misplaced Pages has a policy called "Misplaced Pages is not a crystal ball", which discourages such edits. Please only add material about future events if it is verifiable, based on a reference to a reliable source. Thank you. --Redrose64 (talk) 20:47, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
The source is from the Go! Cooperative Misplaced Pages site. I have out proposed now and it is stated that it is a proposal service. The source is reliable.--Chip123456 (talk) 20:59, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
Please note that Misplaced Pages is not a reliable source, see WP:CIRCULAR. Per the policy on verifiability, all material added to articles must be attributable to a reliable, published source appropriate for the content in question. Please also see WP:REFBEGIN and WP:CITE on how to show your sources in articles. --Redrose64 (talk) 21:15, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
You can also have a look on the GOCO website and look at newspaper websites. There are more than one reliable sources. --Chip123456 (talk) 21:21, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
Per WP:BURDEN it is your task to add suitable references. Also please note that the company's own website is a self-published source, and therefore not a reliable third-party source. --Redrose64 (talk) 21:26, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
Under certain conditions, which seem to apply in this case, self-published sources are acceptable for the purpose of verifiability.  --Lambiam 22:33, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

I see that you continue to refuse to add references. Accordingly, I feel it necessary to give you the following:

Please do not add unsourced content, as you did to Chippenham railway station. This contravenes Misplaced Pages's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. --Redrose64 (talk) 14:25, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

Please stop. Instead of repeatedly adding information, discuss it on the talk page, which is Talk:Chippenham railway station.  Chzz  ►  14:43, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. December 2011

Your recent editing history at Chippenham railway station shows that you are in danger of breaking the three-revert rule, or that you may have already broken it. An editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Breaking the three-revert rule often leads to a block.

If you wish to avoid being blocked, instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to discuss the changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. You may still be blocked for edit warring even if you do not exceed the technical limit of the three-revert rule if your behavior indicates that you intend to continue to revert repeatedly. v/r - TP 14:45, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

Note

Please don't be scared off by all of the templates that have recently been added to your talk page. Content disputes tend to escalate quickly and you can rapidly receive a bunch of warnings.

If you read the links on the warnings and discuss the dispute on the article talk page, the warnings will quickly be forgotten.

Drop me a note on my talk page if you have any questions. --GraemeL 14:58, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
