Michael Stevenson (born November 19, 1989), better known by his stage name Tyga (an acronym for Thank You God Always), is an American rapper signed to Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records and Universal Republic Records. He is of Vietnamese and Jamaican descent. He first received recognition with his debut single "Coconut Juice", featuring his cousin Travie McCoy.

Biography and Career
Michael Stevenson grew up in Compton, California is Vietnamese and Jamaican, he is the cousin of Travis McCoy, member of the group Gym Class Heroes.
On June 10, 2008 he released his first album on the Decaydance Records label, and Young Money Entertainment. In 2009, he appeared on two of the three released singles from the album, We Are Young Money. He has also collaborated with artists such as Chris Brown and in 2010 he announced the release of his second solo album Careless World. Five singles were released in anticipation of the upcoming album. Stevenson created a clothing line in 2011 called Last Kings and is represented as an Egyptian god. His second solo album, Careless World: Rise Of The Last King was scheduled for release on November 11, 2011 but was delayed until December 20, 2011 due to the sale of his clothing line.
