- Republic of Macedonia. The first liberated part of the divided Macedonia, a former yugoslav republic.
- Macedonia (Greece), the region that became part of Greece after the Balkan Wars 1913, now called Greek Macedonia or Aegean Macedonia that is subdivided into three administrative districts:
