The Last of the Greats is a comic book released by Image comics on October 5, 2011.
Story
It takes place in a world where seven alien super powered beings known as the Greats have previously taken control of Earth, and eliminated disease, poverty, and social inequality. Humanity found a way to kill all but one of them, who kept himself hidden, not bothering to try to help Earth like his siblings did. Now they must plead with to help them stop an alien invasion that threatens the entire world.
Reception
- Comics Bulletin calls the story "page-turning, jaw-dropping" and states that "The Last of the Greats sets itself up to be one the best mindfuck comics to hit shelves recently." The reviewer praises the artwork as well.
- IGN states that the series has a "neat concept" but complained about the lack of character development in the first issue.
