The Oosterdam tied up at Tallinn, Estonia on her second cruise, August 2003

ms Oosterdam is a cruise ship that sails for Holland America Line, a division of Carnival Corporation. As the second addition to Holland America's Vista class of ships, Oosterdam is sister to the ms Noordam, ms Westerdam, and ms Zuiderdam. The ship's name comes from the Dutch translation for the eastern compass point, and is pronounced "OH-ster-dam."

After cruising in the Baltic Sea during the summer of 2003 (conveniently close to Fincantieri in case of problems), Oosterdam shifted to the western hemisphere; her 2005 schedule consisted of cruising Alaska and the Inside Passage during the summer, and passing along the Mexican Riviera for the rest of the year.
