Kirk Cameron

Hi. Welcome to Misplaced Pages, and thanks for working to improve the site with your participation in the editing of the Kirk Cameron article, as the rest of the community here really appreciates it. However, your edits here and here had to be reverted, because Misplaced Pages cannot accept unsourced material or original research. This includes material lacking cited sources, or obtained through personal knowledge or unpublished synthesis of previously published material. Misplaced Pages requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. This should not be taken as a statement that Cameron does not hold these views; only that there is no material in the body of the supported by reliable sources that indicates it. If you would like to add such material to the article, then you are encouraged to do so. Should you do so, adding categories that reflect it would be perfectly fine. (I tried looking for such material in the article and couldn't find it. If I somehow missed it, I apologize; just please point it out to me.) If you have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. :-) Nightscream (talk) 16:37, 10 October 2012 (UTC)

I don't know what you mean by your use of the word "akin", but if the YouTube video is the official one of Cameron, The Way of the Master, or some other person or organization that would be considered a reliable source (as opposed to anonymous, everyday people such as you and myself, whose YouTube channels would not be considered reliable under WP:USERG), and the videos in question support the material, then you can re-add the material, so long as you cite the video as sources, as indicated by WP:CS. If it makes it easier for you, there is a full list of citation templates at WP:Citation templates. Material cannot be added without citations of reliable sources. Let me know if you need help with those templates, or any other aspects of editing on WP.
Also, please make sure you sign your talk page posts, which makes it easier for everyone to know who they're addressing. You can do this by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of them, which also automatically time stamps them. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 22:51, 10 October 2012 (UTC)

Edit warring

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Chuck Norris. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Misplaced Pages's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Rivertorch (talk) 17:32, 10 October 2012 (UTC)

Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Misplaced Pages pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 22:11, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
