Benjamin Netanyahu (born 1949) is an Israeli politician. A member of the right-wing Likud party, he was the Prime Minister of Israel from April 1996 to May 1999. Although as P.M. he has negotiated with Arafat (in the form Wye accords), he no longer supports the concept of a future Palestinian state based on the PLO.
