Mia Khalifa (born February 10, 1993) is the stage name of a Lebanese American pornographic actress and adult model.
Early life
Khalifa was born in Beirut, Lebanon and she moved to the United States in 2000. She moved to Maryland as a teenager. She graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history.
Career
Khalifa entered the adult film industry in October 2014. On December 28, 2014, Pornhub revealed that she was the #1 ranked porn star on their website. She took the top prize from veteran Lisa Ann, who recently retired from the adult movie industry.
Controversy
In her most popular video to date, she plays up her Islamic past by wearing a hijab. Many people were offended and think she was purposely putting the religion in a bad light. The fact that she now considers herself Christian further fans those flames. She has also received death threats from Lebanese people, Arabs, and Muslims.
Personal life
Khalifa married an American man in February 2011 shortly after she turned 18. Khalifa also came under fire for her tattoos on her right wrist.she has relating to Lebanon, including the opening line of the Lebanese National Anthem and a tattooed of the Lebanese Forces Cross, which she said was to "show solidarity with my father's political views after a bombing in Lebanon in 2012. She currently resides in Miami, Florida.
