It is produced in NSW, Australia, and comes in a number of flavours: Original (passionfruit-flavoured); Mixed Berry (strawberry with a hint of raspberry); Peach; and Suze (butter flavored).
A true connoisseur of Passion Pop will be able to identify a batch by vintage, location, flavour and, of course, price (not exceeedingly difficult, given the standard $3.98). Some pundits have hypothesized that in the future, a good vintage of Passion Pop may fetch upwards of $4,000. Such individuals are purchasing Passion Pop in vast quantities, while supply remains strong. Only time will tell if their investment is worthwhile.
Specifications
Passion Pop is produced by Golden Gate Wines, as are a number of less well-known and similarly priced drinks. Passion Pop is labeled as a carbonated 'passion flavoured' wine, and comes in 750ml bottles. The drink is 9.5% alcohol, meaning that one bottle contains 5.6 standard drinks.
Packaging
It comes in a 750mL glass champagne bottle. The stopper at the top of the bottle is made of plastic. Once the drink is resealed it will stay carbonated much longer than conventional champagne.
