Finding which article a quote is in

Reference desk (utdrag): In one of our articles there is a sentence something like: "It's been quipped that the only reason we need sleep is to cure sleepiness.", tagged . I happened to find a source. Is there any way to find where that quote might be found?

I suggest a Google search, just using the keywords from the quote, and specifying that you only want matches from English Misplaced Pages: "quipped" "sleepiness" site:en.Misplaced Pages.org

Adding references is easy with this tool (which is explained in detail here)
  • Referencing with PMID, DOI or ISBN-with-the-page-number/s:
  1. Find the PMID / DOI of the article or, in the case of a book, the ISBN and the page number(s). Click the Cite tab in the top of the edit box. In the dropdown Templates menu, select Cite journal or Cite book, as appropriate. Type in the PMID, DOI or ISBN with the page number/s, then click on the magnifying glass icon. The cite tool will automatically process the details.
  2. Another method is to enter the PMID into the Diberri Boghog template filler, which will generate a cite journal template in the format used in most medical articles.

User V4711, a gentleman named Victor in Boston and active participant in graphics lab, has in the past expressed interest in helping people improve health graphics and said that if people provided him translated text then he could update some graphics for use in various languages.
