The 2024–25 Golden State Warriors season is the 79th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA), their 63rd in the San Francisco Bay Area, and their sixth season at the Chase Center. This will be the first time since the 2010–11 season that franchise mainstay Klay Thompson will not be on the opening night roster, as he left to join the Dallas Mavericks over the off-season through a sign-and-trade deal.

Draft

Main article: 2024 NBA draft
Round Pick Player Position Nationality School / club team
2 52 Quinten Post C Netherlands Netherlands Boston College

The Warriors entered this draft (which was two days long instead of just one day long like it previously has been since the NBA draft was shortened down to two rounds in 1989) with just one second-round pick. Near the end of the second day of the draft, the Warriors selected the Dutch-born center Quinten Post from Boston College.
