Edward "Eddy" Dominic Berumen (born May 19, 2001) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Los Angeles FC 2 in the MLS Next Pro.

Career

Youth and college

Berumen played a single year of high school soccer at Modesto High School, spending most his youth career playing club. He had a five-year spell at NorCal Premier side Ajax United, following a two-year stint with Lobos FC, before joining the Sacramento Republic in 2016. In 2019, he signed a USL Academy contract with Sacramento, allowing him to play for the first team, but retain his college eligibility.

In 2019, Berumen attended the University of California, Irvine to play college soccer. He went on to make 35 appearances over four seasons with the club, scoring a single goal and adding three assists. He was named Big West All-Freshman Team in his first season with the Anteaters.

Berumen was eligible for selection in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft, but went undrafted.

Professional

On March 8, 2024, Berumen signed his first professional contract, joining USL Championship side Las Vegas Lights. On June 23, 2024, Berumen moved to MLS Next Pro side Los Angeles FC 2. He signed a short-term deal with the club's first team roster on July 7, 2024.
