Liberal Alliance of Independent Citizens (LANO, Czech: Liberální aliance nezávislých občanů) is a social liberal Czech political party founded by activist Šimon Hlinovský. The party is running in the 2024 European Parliament election in the Czech Republic.

Ideology

Some of the party's declared goals include:

  • Support for European integration
  • Bringing more women into politics
  • Enforcing the right to vote from the age of 15
  • Stopping coal mining, operating coal-fired power plants and replacing them with renewable sources
  • Protecting nature and the atmosphere
  • Strengthening the fight against smugglers of illegal migrants, terrorism and agents of the Russian Federation
  • Cooperation with NATO allies
  • The formation of a common European army
  • Supporting Ukraine and its admission to the EU and NATO
  • Advocating the incorporation of the Kaliningrad Oblast into the Czech Republic after the end of the war
  • Approval of same-sex marriage
  • Striving for equal rights regardless of sexual orientation, nationality or religion
