Novalaise (French pronunciation: [nɔvalɛz]; Arpitan: Novalaze) is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France.

Geography

Climate

Novalaise has an oceanic climate (Köppen climate classification Cfb). The average annual temperature in Novalaise is 10.9 °C (51.6 °F). The average annual rainfall is 1,443.4 mm (56.83 in) with November as the wettest month. The temperatures are highest on average in July, at around 20.2 °C (68.4 °F), and lowest in January, at around 1.9 °C (35.4 °F). The highest temperature ever recorded in Novalaise was 39.5 °C (103.1 °F) on 13 August 2003; the coldest temperature ever recorded was −25.0 °C (−13.0 °F) on 7 January 1985.
