Vedal, also known as Vedal987, is a British programmer and streamer best known as the creator of Neuro-sama, an artificial intelligence based program simulating a VTuber.
Career
Neuro-sama
Vedal is an independent programmer, not associated with any company. In 2018, he began developing a program aimed at mastering the game Osu!. Over time, he named the program Neuro-sama. The results of his work were broadcast on his channel vedal987 on the streaming platform Twitch. By 2019, the channel had around 3,500 followers.
In 2022, Vedal added an avatar supported by AI technology that simulated the behavior of a VTuber. Over time, he dedicated himself entirely to developing Neuro-sama as a virtual, multi-purpose VTuber. For his streams, Vedal used a green turtle avatar, which appears on top of Neuro-sama's head.
In 2023, Bloomberg News reported that the development of Neuro-sama had become his full time job.
Abandoned Archive
One of his well-known side projects is the game "Abandoned Archive," which combines Roguelike action, Dungeon crawl, and Fantasy genres. A demo version of the game was released on February 10, 2022.
Personal life
Vedal is British. He declares himself to be self-taught and states that he did not learn programming at university, nor from books, but by watching tutorials on YouTube. He avoids sharing detailed information about himself, such as his age and approximate place of residence.

can't speak for everyone here, but learning a skill such as programming does take effort. I'm self taught and mostly learned from YouTube tutorials online. I don't think you need a specific book or course or degree to be able to program, although, these certainly can help to teach you if that's what motivates you to learn. Personally however, what motivated me to learn was working on my own projects. When I first started I had to use tutorials to do this but as I learnt I could start working on my own projects independently.
